Chapter Philanthropy

Zeta Tau Alpha's national philanthropy is Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. Our chapter's current Director of Philanthropy is Tanaz Zahedi. We have two Think Pink Chairmen as well, Molly Barth and Jaclyn Nguyen. These women have and continue to implement new idea's to help raise money for our amazing philanthropy. Spring 2018 we met our goal and were able to raise around $7,000 towards Breast Cancer Education and Awareness!

The Lambda Gamma chapter actively participates in as many events as possible to educate women on the common statistics and forms of early identification of breast cancer. Every fall semester we pair up with the UTSA football team and our local alumni chapter to host a Pink Out Tailgate. At the tailgate we pass out pink ribbons, breast cancer education pamphlets, and we also sell "UTSA Pink Out" shirts for $10 at the stadium. Every semester we have a Think Pink Week where we table on campus to raise money and awareness by selling shirts, cupcakes, and host our annual "Pie a Zeta" event. One of our favorite traditions is our annual Crown Classic flag football tournament that takes place every spring semester at the end of our Think Pink Week. This is an exciting event that we team up with our school community and other greek life organizations for as we enjoy a fun and friendly competition to raise money for our philanthropy.
